My desktop is on the other side of the house and I need internet access. Rather than install a wifi adapter, is there a wireless range extender that is truly wireless and I can plug into the desktop via the ethernet port. I'm sorry for such an obvious question, the router ads seem very vague on how hookup actually works. It seems like this method kills two birds with one stone, I get internet access to my desktop plus extend the wireless range in the upstairs of my home. Thanks. By the way, any particular model you recommend would be greatly appreciated.
