Can IP ping, not site name ping.. Have reviewed other solutions to this issue without luck!

I have just acquired access to my apartment's wifi, and though I can browse on my phone, my PC can only access IP addresses

The network hardware is inaccessible to me so I wonder if I can do anything on my end... I am typing this on my phone so let me know select ipconfig lines that might be of use!

Fwiw, I have not been able to browse on my laptop using this wifi connection since gaining access to it

On your PC, try changing your DNS server settings (in IPv4 settings) to use another server. I suggest using Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). See if sites will resolve after making the change.

COLgeek you are a golden god!!! This has frustrated me so much but with the change to the IP4 settings and a reboot I can finally connect and browse!! Thanks a million!
