i came to know that i need to install some drivers after formatting my acer netbook with windows 7. But i dont know which drivers i need to install to connect to my bsnl wifi modem for internet........i am finding some terms like wifi drivers for acer netbook, wifi drivers for windows 7, wifi driver for modem, ethernet controllers, network controllers, pci devices...........please someone enlighten me about these things and help me connect to my wifi bsnl modem.

Well i would start by looking up your Acer model in the download section of the acer website. Then from there just download the drivers. if there are a few WiFi devices you can just download them all. the correct one will be the only one that installs most of the time. You can also get the Hardware ID's from the Device Manager and look them up that way as well. But if you have no network on it you will need to download them from another PC (At least the wifi and/or ethernet conroller.
