I have a Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5105 and I also have an Intel Pentium P6200 and a AMD Turion X2 RM-75 Dual-Core Mobile Processor, and I'd like to know if any are compatible with my laptop.

Solution
No, neither are compatible.

The processor on your laptop maybe soldered on to the motherboard; hence you cannot replace/upgrade the processor on your laptop. If the processor was NOT soldered on, neither CPU would still be compatible.

Intel processors are only compatible with Intel chipsets and vice versa for AMD, ruling out the Intel Pentium. Second your laptop only supports processors on AMD's socket 413. The AMD Turion 64 X2 RM-75 is for socket S1. Socket 413 is BGA which indicates your laptop's processor is soldered.

All the best.

Why don't you try Googling it? 99.9% chance your cpu is soldered to your mainboard anyway making it a moot point.

Me? Through having seen my fair share of laptops, and having over the years developed an understanding of how computer companies make their money, as well as an ongoing fascination with new tech that leads me to at least skim read far more tech web articles than I ever need to
