Hi
Lately here I have been having some issues with my custom built PC, I'll describe it as it first started out. I came home from work hit the power button only to find it turning off and on repeatedly, after leaving it alone for a second it turns on and boots in and eventually freezes and then shuts off. I have done quite a bit of troubleshooting as far as checking for shorts, making sure every connection is connected securely, I have done hardware diags and monitored heat, my hardware passed except for hard drive and ssd which upon getting to those it would freeze and turn off.

If anyone possible has had an issue like this before some enlightenment of what I maybe missing would be great!

Before you do anything else, unplug all unnecessary external devices, so only keyboard monitor mouse remain... Any better?

Most of time those are the only things plugged in. I don't have anything else. Unit is still non-functional.

Also add to the above the PC has been working for more than 9 months, just giving a time line.

Cool... another q, how old is your PSU? Is it older than the rest of the build?

CPU came brand new and assembled with the rest of the build. As far as manufactured date I am not quite sure.

Ok cool... Try moving if to a different power wall socket as well, n also I presume you have surge protection on your power strip?

Also I hav to ask the antivirus/antimlaware q - what r u running, is it up to date?

Yes I had surge protection on it, it wasn't prob the best though and we did have some serious storms move through. I have webroot on it and up to date. Possible PSU replacement?

Possibly a new PSU required... but run thru that checklist first.
