Hi guys I need your help!

i3 530
GTX 560ti
8gb Ram
Windows 7

Yesterday, my pc crashed and would BSOD after the "Windows is Starting" + Window logo - BSOD message is nvlddmkm.sys.

I've tried running in safemode and everything's okay - uninstalled the NVIDIA drivers and it would run fine. It would always BSOD whenever the NVIDIA Drivers are installed. (Re-installed correctly - removed all the drivers, used guru3ds NVIDIA driver remover)

I have an old card (GTS 250) and I've tried replacing the GTX 560ti with it and my pc would run fine.

Question: Is there any known workaround to this? or does this mean that my GTX 560ti is dead? :(  I hope you guys can help me out. Thanks!!

Hello... use some rubbing alcohol and clean the Edge Connector on your video card... and try re-inserting it a few times before trashing the card... and Yes, verify if your power connector pins/adaptors, has all it pins tight and connected good.
If it still happens... The next step would be to re-flash the BIO's on the video card.

I would try this. I'm afraid I don't know how to re-flash the BIO of the video card though..

Thanks guys!

Try this tool too.
First of all you need to TOTALLY remove all the old drivers. Use this link.
http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
Note:
Select the respective company(i.e Nvidia or ATI) drivers to be uninstalled.
Use clean and restart option.
And then install the new drivers after rebooting.

Unfortunately, I've already tried doing this but still going BSOD after drivers are re-installed.

How many different driver versions have you tried and does the card boot into Windows and run OK on the default driver?

I've tried the last 5 whql drivers and they all BSOD with my GTX 560ti but works great with my GTS 250..

The card will boot into windows if there are no NVIDIA drivers installed.. :(

If any or all of those drivers worked before and the card seems to work fine with no drivers installed then you may well have a dying card there. The VRM's on a 560Ti do get rather hot, one of mine died a fiery death due to fan failure.

I was just unsure if a dead card would keep on BSOD-ing instead of just not displaying anything but I guess this could happen as well...

Do you have another PCIe slot on your motherboard or another PC you can try it in?
