I just installed a new graphics card, the GTX 750. When I booted the PC up it made 6 beeps, and did nothing on the screen, it was black. So I plugged the dvi cable to graphics card and booted it up again. Now it had come up to the press ESC for startup menu, i didn't press it, after a while nothing happened so I did, then I heard 1 short beep and then 40 seconds later it beeped again. Then it went to a black screen with the typing symbol to type on the top left corner, I waited and nothing happened, I pressed ESC nothing, I pressed other buttons, nothing. So I just turned it off. Please help.

Be calm. Go back and check your work, making sure you plugged everything in correctly etc. If you can try the video card in a different machine that would be the best way to test it. Try just removing the card and re-installing it. It could be that simple. However some cards come bad from the factory. But again test it in another machine first.

What Wattage is your PSU (Power Supply Unit)?

If you're running an HP Pavilion p6-2127c Desktop PC as your Motherboard would suggest... that computer only includes a 300W PSU. The GTX 750 wants a 400W PSU at the minimum. Furthermore, your Motherboard only includes a PCIe x16 1.0 slot. This slot will run your Graphics Card but will 'bottleneck' it, meaning the card will not run at full speed.

Assuming your PSU is not the 300W variety, and is powerful enough to run the GTX 750 - Ensure the card is sat securely in its PCIe x16 slot, not at an angle. Ensure that all PSU PCIe x16 Power Connectors are fully and securely attached to the card.

I'm almost certain this is a PSU issue though. I'd recommend maybe a 450W PSU for this card since the bare-minimum 400W is cutting it a little close with GeForce series.

I checked the link for that video card. It says 300 watt power supply is sufficient. It should be ok. And the pcie slot is gen 2.0. That should be ok also.
Thelps you should do better research and not scare these noobs.

The minimum power requirement for a Graphics Card as listed by the manufacturer is almost always too low.

When they list a low number such as 300W they mean the power required to operate the Graphics Card. A GPU at full load draws considerably more power than the manufacturers usually allow for in their estimate.

It's essentially a sales tactic to encourage people with low-powered PSUs to buy the Graphics Card anyway, and then the manufacturer lets them worry about PSU upgrades when they realise the card isn't operating at full capacity.

That would be incorrect. They always list the power supply as higher than actually needed, and they do mean power supply not power needed to the graphics card. You are really posting a lot of mis-information here.
