hello everyone. i just built a new (well new old computer) and everything seems to work fine however windows 7 has freezing issues and gives me blue screen after about 5 minutes (same if i try to install windows 8) of use, i also get a weird error when i try to open some programes i have installed (google chrome and msi afterburner) it says something about my side by side configuration being incorrect? i have run disk scans. tried the pc with just one stick of ram in it and nothing has fixed either issues. so please help me this is starting to get fairly annoying
my specs.
cpu: intel core i5 2390t.
motherboard: asus p8p67 le.
ram: 1x samsung 2gb pc3 10600u 2X hynix 4gb pc3 10600u and 1X samsung 4gb pc3 10600u (i know it seems shady but it worked great on my other pc and even when i try just one stick of the hynix ram it does not stop the bsod or errors).
Hard drive 400gb western digital.
Psu: 400w tiger pro.
Grahpics: msi gtx 275 twin frozr OC.
i think thats all the specs that are relevant to my questions but let me know if you need more info, thanks in advanced for any help.

Don't mix RAM brands. hell dont even mix ram of different sizes. You need ram with the same size, brand, and model number. Just because it worked in one computer doesn't mean that it is going to work in another.

Solution 1:
take out all the samsung ram

solution 2:
take out all hynix ram and the 2 gb samsung
see if this works.

ok i tried just the hynix ram and my 1tb harddrive... that didnt change a thing, heres a little more info, i have windows 7 professional 64bit (activated) and the bsod error says("a process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated") (0x0000000000000003, 0xfffffa8008b61b30, 0xfffffa8008b61e10, 0xfffff80002b8adb0)
EDIT i also noticed that right before i get the bsod my windows taskbar disappears witch makes me think its explorer closing, but why would it be doing this? could it possibly be that my psu is overloaded?

Thanks for all your help, i was actually able to fix my bsod by using a windows 7 instalation disk, however i still have the side by side configuration incorrect error :( and now the computer will shut off completely without warning and then restart. im guessing it probably a psu issue maybe its overloaded because its only a 400watt. anyways thanks again for the help and the links as they where very useful
