I had 2 USB3 flash drives (1 Corsair and the other one Lexar) ruined. While plugged into USB2 ports on 2 different desktops, the screen blinked as the cable moved for for the Corsair and when I unplugged the Lexar out. Afterwards, many of the files and folders in the Corsair were corrupted. For the Lexar, none of the 4 computers I tried can read it using USB3 ports. They say format disk even when I plug it in USB3 ports. Any ideas on how I can get to read my Lexar? Thx. John

Thanks. I had finished transferring data to the flash drives. There was no active transfer occurring. The cord happened to move. It was as if there was a short that occurred. Is that possible? I am aware of the hazards of USB. I find it odd that it happened to me twice and with completely different systems. When I plug the Lexar into the USB3 port of my Surface, the Surface shows Removable D: drive for a fraction of a second and then it disappears. It is if it it read it for a brief moment and then lost it. Is there a way I could try to retrieve my data?
