accelero xtreme iv gpu cooler

Hello
I bought the r9 290 with the ref cooler and i also bought a accelero xtreme iv for the gpu because i heard that the ref version is realy bad
so i its in shipping right now but i just saw a youtube video of a guy a that saying that the cooler doesnt cool the vram...
Is it true?
what is that means anyway?...

The vram and the vrm cooling is handled by the large backplate heatsink.
Despite the heatsink being mounted on the back of the card it actually cools these components quite well.

As long as you follow the instructions you will be fine.
You'll need a lot of patience installing this cooler, it's a pain the backside.
There's not quite enough thermal pad for all the vram and vrm's, just make sure you use enough on the vrm area and just use little squares for the vram.
