Hey guys, thanks for reading my thread. I am so lost that its frustrating me. Im not sure what mother board and processor I should get with a budget of 350.

My build is:
Windows 7
Gigabyte GA-p55-ud4p
I5 750 2.66 ghz
8gb Cosair vengeance 1600mhz ram
Thermaltake 750watt psu
Asus R9 280x direct Cll 3gbram
3 monitors 27inch

Im trying to build myself a decent computer without having to bottleneck my gpu and not too sure what motherboard or processor to get. I heard the msi z97 and z87 are quite popular but I also saw reviews of it breaking down with all sorts of problems. If anyone can help me, please provide me some good motherboards and processors. I just want a motherboard and processor that isnt pricey but also enable me to play games like bf4 or crysis 3 at max settings. I bought the gpu, ram, and psu so all im waiting on is to upgrade my 5 year old mb and cpu. Thanks guys!!!

Depends on your budget. For 410$, you can get an I7 4790k and a z97 board, like gigabyte z97x-sli/dh3 or similars.
For about 100$ less, an I5 4690k with a similar motherboard.
For even less money you can get an amd fx 8320.
In any case, you should get an aftermarket cooler like 212 plus or 212 evo, so you can overclock a bit.
If you don't want to overclock, you can get a h97 motherboard (~80$) and a xeon e3 1231v3 (230$) which is similar to a 4790 without iGPU (that you won't use anyway).
