Computer randomly restarting

I've had this rig for about three months and it had this problem in the very beginning but than it somehow fixed itself. It doesn't seem to be related to any specific tasks or temperatures because it will sometimes restart when doing nothing at all and sometimes during a render, and when I monitored the temperatures just before it crashed nothing was overheating or anything (at least what I measured which is CPU, GPU all the normal stuff). It doesn't seem to be Windows related because I'm also running OS X on my rig and it happens there too.

My computer:
i7 4770K (not OCed)
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H
2X8GB Corsair 1600Mhz RAM
EVGA GTX 780SC
Corsair RM750
Corsair H100i

When I first built it three out of the ordinary things happened:

1. Two of my case's motherboard standoffs were a bit defected and too close, so mounting the motherboard was a bit of a struggle but there doesn't seem to be any excess pressure\looseness applied to it.

2. Because of the way Corsair wants you to mount the H100i's pump on the CPU (so that the logo is upside down) it was a bit tough getting it on the other way around and I'm afraid I didn't get the thermal paste on as intended so I didn't OC my CPU for that reason.

3. When I first booted it it went on a loop of restarts so that it would immediately shut off after it powered on, over current protection probably.

Every sort of help is most appreciated! :wahoo:

I have an SSD as the boot drive, a Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB. I don't think that's the problem, but what do you recon?
