Under Win 8, I was able to use two monitors: One at 4k / 30Hz and the other at 1920x1200 / 60Hz. Now with the 8.1 upgrade, there is no option for 4K. Also, when I try to download a utility for resolution change from download.com (unfortunately now CBS) they all are reported as having viruses or Trojans by Norton. Where are the bad EDID files kept? Can they be updated?

This used to work until Microsoft helped with a free update.... NOTE: I have the AMD Catalyst for HD 6670 (my card) installed.

The reason you do not see it is because your card does not officially support a 4K resolution. My best guess is the max it could go would be 2560x1600. How 4K showed up on vanilla windows 8 and not the 8.1 update I can't say. You could downgrade back to windows 8 and get the 4K resolution back or upgrade to a card that is guaranteed to support a 4K resolution. For that I'd recommend a GTX 750 or a 750 Ti (or a 270 or 270X on the AMD side) If you insist on a resolution changing tool I'd search around a bit harder (I know toms used on during one of their reviews)

I ordered a used R9 280X off of eBay. I will see if that works. According to the GPU scale, that is more powerful that the 270 or 270X. The HD 6670 was not passing audio either and maybe it will fix that too.
