Hi! I am very happy I found this resource and forum -- lots of very useful information! Thanks!
My question concerns a build that I composed for gaming PC. Basically, I need to run newest 3D games at ~60 fps and higher on high/ultra settings in 1080p.

Here is the build:

  • Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Case - White 80$
    OR
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 95$
    OR
CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced - Gaming Mid Tower 95$

  • Motherboard:
    ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS $90
    OR
    ASRock 970 EXTREME4 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS $97
    OR
    GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD $127

  • RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB Kit (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM $77

  • Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 220-G2-0750-XR 750W ATX12V $110
    OR
    CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V $120

  • CPU: AMD FX-8350 Vishera 8-Core 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W $190

  • GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Dual Superclocked $250

  • HDD: WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache $58

    Total: ~860$

    1. Will this build be working well? I mean the parts are compatible? Is there anything you would propose to change?
    2. Is there any way to replace expensive parts and reduce the price without making the gaming worse?

    Thank you very much!
