I am looking for a reputable power supply for my new build. I need something in the range of 1000 watts and I would like to know where I can find a solid power supply. I am building (not finished buying components) a motherboard which is an asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 with an amd cpu 8 core 8320 along with gskill 16 gb of ram and a graphics card that is a hd 7850 2 gb gddr5. I have calculated that I need at least a 1000 watt power supply and I would like to ask knowledgable people what brand would be a good choice.

That's way to much psu for what you are planning. If you don't plan to xfire or don't plan on otherwise upgrading the gpu, 650w will be more than enough. XFX, Seasonic and Corsair all make excellent psu's in that range.

No need for more than a 800w PSU !
You actually only need (max) 200w for CPU , (max) 150w for GPU , let's say 50w for the Motherboard , 50w for ssd's , hdd's , DVD writer , let's add 100w for safety and that is ...>(550W) 600W to be 100% safe . If you want to futureproof yourself give the gpu a maximum of 350w and we get (750w ) 800W.
Sooo you need a 80%+ Silver or Gold 600W PSU from a reputable manufacturer , or a 800W 80+Gold if you want futureproofing
