i7 4770k with stock fan, Is temp safe?

My processor or cpu posted perfectly but the problem was that 10 min later when i open up bios setting. It says my cpu is at 95 degrees celcius is this right? And is it safe or naww? Im kind of new so ya i just posted for the first time.

No it shouldn't display 95C. If you use HWMonitor and check your cpu temps, does it display similar results?
If you feel the air near the cpu cooler is it very hot?
You might want to readjust the cpu cooler again.
Did you overclock?
Did you change the voltage in the BIOS?

I did not touch or do anything when I saw that my cpu is 95 celcius. The temp feels fairly decent. The bios also says that my mother board is 31 celcius

Check the mounting of your CPU cooler. The temps for my Ivy Bridge jumped up one day a few months ago, for no reason, so I took a look at the motherboard and discovered that the mounting or attachment of the CPU cooler had come loose from the motherboard. I just had to re-seat it. That solve the problem.

thanks ill try it i may have set my fans a bit off does that mean i need new paste? I think it happened when i pushed one corner for some reason i could not press my other corner so i thought it was already set by it self so ya.

I was told msi z97 gaming 7 overclocks itself so if thts the case i dont know how to fix it
