Will this Motherboard support this Card?

I have a HP 700-327c and I was going to upgrade and add a GTX 780 to it. However I heard that the HP Motherboard wouldn't support the card even though the board has the correct slots to insert it into.

Can I successfully install the card? Or do I need a new Motherboard?

Thanks in advance

It's not so much that the mobo won't handle it, it's that your power supply won't. I doubt that you have more than a 350 or 400W PSU in your system, and the GTX 780 requires a 600W. So you'd need a new power supply.
  2. Awesome, I forgot to mention that I was upgrading the psu as well. Thank you for confirming that it should work I was getting nervous it wouldn't.
    Thank you!
  3. Should is the key word , a lot of these prebuilts have trouble with the cards.
  4. I guess I'll find out. Thanks for the help :)
