Hey I'm a bit new to overclocking and I wanted some pointers. I have an EVGA 780 SC with its reference Nvidia cooler. I only offset the coreclock and memory by 50 using MSI Afterburner and I am already seeing artifacts. I wanted to know if I should limit my overclock to the amount of artifacts I find, or up until the driver or application crashes.

Its stock coreclock is 1280
and its stock memory is 3004

How far should I be able to overclock and what is the average overclock.
I am using the Corsair 250D for my case and my average room temperature is about 65F to 75F

use gpu boost and set your max temp to 85. leave everything else the card will then figure out how much of an oc it can give.

You should have it as high as it can go without any artifacting. since you're already seeing it you need to lower your OC. leave the memory at stock and adjust the core clock first until you find the sweet spot where you see no artifacting whatsoever. then adjust the memory clock the same way. you may need to give it extra voltage too, that will help a little. It's already a powerful GPU and tbh you shouldn't be worried about OCing it already.

How much should I offset my core voltage. I offset it by +15 right now.
