PC Not Booting; Help Appreciated

So I built my computer about a year ago, and I haven't had any problems with it until now. While I was gaming recently, it would randomly shut down. So I looked up the issue and found that it may be an overheating problem. So I opened up the side panel and booted it to see if the fans were running properly. And as expected, the rear case fan and CPU heatsink both weren't running. So I tried unplugging and replugging both of fan cables into the motherboard. Well, now the entire computer won't even turn on. I'm a bit concerned that I shorted out the motherboard (I did the unplugging/replugging on a carpet, but did ground myself fairly often), but I don't even think that would cause the entire system to not boot at all.

Specs:
Intel I5 3470
AMD Radeon 7870
MSI B75MA P45 Motherboard
8 GB Corsair Vengeance
1TB Western Digital Blue
Corsair Cx 500
NZXT Source 220

Please help if possible. I'd really not want to replace the whole thing, as it's only a year old. Thanks.

Well, not really. I'd have to buy a new one because I don't have access to any that are better than my current one. That's why I wanted to post this, just in case someone has a different solution so I don't have to buy a new one and discover that that isn't the issue.
