new gpu problems

I just installed a new sapphire R9 270x. I go to boot it up everything turns on, the fans are running, but there is no beep. The monitor detects that it is plugged in but it detects no signal. I tried putting my old gpu back in but it didnt work.

Did you plug the monitor cables directly to the gpu's display outputs, not the motherboard's.

Suztera, I have a HDMI cable plugged into the gpu on the back of my computer, also I have the 2 six pins connected

What's your full pc specs?

Psu: 700 w xtreme gear xg-h700
Mobo: msi 760GM-P34
8 gb ram
Not sure the exact processor, I know its an amd in the 8000s

Have you tried to clear CMOS on your motherboard when you installed the R9 270X.

I cleared the CMOS but still no luck... the monitor just isnt recieving a signal
