I have a Lenovo Y500 Laptop with an SSD cache drive that stopped working a while ago. This summer i thought i would fix it since I had the time and i was getting rather frustrated with my computer (I couldn't install a lot of things, nor could i access control panel etc.). The SSD i had was a SanDisk U100 16GB, but since it broke within half a year of me getting the computer I decided I would buy something other than SanDisk.

I went out and got myself a Plextor SATA 6Gb/s mSATA SSD (model: PX-64M5M) and installed it in my computer. At first it didn't work because my computers motherboard does not have RAID support and thus i had to reinstall Express cache to fit the new SSD. After this was done I have noticed some increase in boot speed and according to cmd it is installed and working:

But when playing games (as the SSD is mostly needed for), I am seeing no increase in performance at all, with my current processor and SSD i should be able to play most current games on high/ultra setting without much lag but that is simply not possible. How do i fix this? Thanks in advance.

The last SSD i had (the SanDisc one) did make the games run considerably better than the one i have now though. I made the claims regarding my computers expected gaming performance based on what i had seen from before the SSD broke.
