So far this is what I have chose, I am wondering if anyone with more experience could give me some tips on what may be a better alternative, with a similar function for a lower price.
I am open to anything that might help knock some of the price off of my current build.

Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 (Am3+ socket) $134.99
CPU: AMD FX8320 $149.99
CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro Series Cooler H100i $99.95
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X $303.99
Memory: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB) $149.99
Storage: Kingston HyperX 3K 120 GB SATA SSD $84.99 (I might add a HDD for storage or just use a higher memory SSD)
Power source: Corsair CX Series 750 Watt Modular 80 PLUS Bronze $79.99
OS: Windows 8.1 $94.57
Case: Cooler Master N600 $88.40

This in total adds up to $1,186.86 and really I just wana know if I am over spending anywhere.

1. reduce ram to 8gb. I have 16gb, never use more than 6.

2. change ssd to hdd. you will get a muuch higher capacity hdd for less price. ssd is a luxury, not a need.

3. get a cheaper r9 280x

4. You don't need loud noisy expensive liquid cooling if you dont do extreme overclocks

5. get a cheaper psu, even 550 watts is fine. I recommend an xfx psu

6. this case is good and cheaper

I wouldn't go with the H100i, the H110 is almost the same price but runs cooler and quieter.

Do you really need 16GB of ram?

And get an XFX 650W Bronze power supply it's better than the CX series.

The 840 Evo is the same price and is a bit faster, but you won't notice much difference anyway if you choose to stick with the kingston.

And as for the case I would get something like a 500r or Fractal Design Define R4 (Two completely different cases, I know) but that comes down to what you like more than anything else.

First off I loved the feedback,
Secondly, I think I may not have been 100% clear on what I want to get out of this PC,
I want to go with a 750 psu at least, so that I can upgrade to crossfire/sli if I want to,
I chose to use a HDD, (this may change as I find out how much cash I have when the times comes to buy parts)
I have a friend that has a similar build, but he says that 8gigs of ram just isn't doing it for him.
I probably won't use the H100i after doing a little research, and I probably will change the case.
Yes gaming is intended
