I have 4790K 4.0Mhz jus bought it with GIGABYTE GA-G1.Sniper Z97 LGA 1150 When I downloaded CPU-Z to check the CPU CORE speed it shows it is playing between 780-900MHz!!!!! It should show at least 4000!!!!!! What is going on??

Solution JackNaylorPE Jul 27, 2014 Most MoBos default to 1600 or 1333. There is no JEDEC profile for 1866 and above so you have to go into BIOS and enable the XMP profile. You MoBo manual will explain this.
