As of right now, I have 2 sticks of 2gb ddr3 ram although I plan on upgrading it to 8. A amd a6-3600 apu 2.1ghz .

I recieves some help from friends and one of them reccomended an upgrade to suit my needs, here it is.

The ram seems fine, I understand the new power supply as my stock one only carries max 250 wats, and he said I needed a better one.

But, what I do not understand is the video card. My video card alone is decent with 512 mb dedicated ram, and it isn't what I wanted unless it is also the gpu? I am not sure. I'd like help to see if this is my gpu.

Reason I am saying gpu is he said it was easier, and reccomended me that, but this doesn't look like its my gpu.

I really don't know what I am asking or what I am saying really. If anyone could lighten it up a bit that would be helpful.

What is the purpose of your upgrade? What do you want to achieve?

The Corsair CX series aren't the greatest choice of PSU by the way - their other series are far better (excluding the super cheap VS), or try something from XFX or Seasonic

For gaming. I am not a expert nor really have a extended amount of knowledge over computers so I don't really know.

Plus, I am on a small budget, the price listed is probably my maximum.

Ok anyways my friend didn't think I needed a new processor but it's actually what I need the most. He added one in, reducted the gpu and now its alot cheaper and is alot better than my computer right now.

You think that's good for the price?
