Looking for some advice on best options to upgrade/improve my son's gaming pc. We built it about 18 months ago.

He has a budget of £400. Could possibly stretch to more if needed.

Build:

NZXT Source 210 elite USB 3.0 Mid Tower
MSI B75A-G43 ATX LGA1155
Intel Core i3-3220 3.3 Ghz dual core
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x 2GB)
MSI Radeon HD 7770 Ghz Edition 1GB
Seagate Barracuda 500gb
Corsair Builder 430w
Samsung optical drive

He's complaining about it being slow/freezing during game play. He mostly plays Minecraft and Gary's Mod. But plays and records videos at the same time and has a dual monitor/screen set up.

He did some kind of check and it suggested that ram was an issue. I'm no expert and would love some advice.

I would ideally like something that isn't going to need upgrading soon, perhaps a different motherboard so that he could look at overclocking in the future.

We were thinking about i5 4670k cpu, but I'm open to suggestions.

Solution
This is the absolute best I could do.

Can Easily handle gaming at 1080p no problems with Ultra Settings

It should be sufficient , I can stress more and maybe raise it for 500 Pounds for better components , I wouldn't recommend having all the 4 rams but its a necessity . The 430W should be sufficient tho
