It's the latest i7 on the market (excluding the variant that's meant for overclocking). The clock speed is fairly high, it has 4 cores and hyperthreading, and it uses Intel's latest CPU architecture.

Why is it good, price and Quad core with hyperthreading @ 3.6ghz turbo to 4Ghz, integrated HD4600 graphics

As it stands, without an external GPU, is still capable of gaming if your drop graphic quality ..
