Bought an ASUS Q550LF laptop a few months ago. Yesterday after working for a while, I closed the screen lid so that it can go to sleep. After an hour, when I opened the lid, there was no display on the screen. The laptop was running but the screen was completely black. Then I reset my laptop by holding down the power button for a few seconds. The laptop restarted but still there was nothing on the screen. I even checked if the screen's backlight is off by pressing FN+F7, but still the screen was black. Then I pressed some random buttons on the keyboard and suddenly the laptop started to narrate every button I was pressing, even it was narrating when I was touching the screen. I tried to access the shared files of the laptop via another laptop and I could access and edit all of them. So, I think the laptop is working fine but there's something wrong with the screen. What should I do know? I guess screen's ribbon cable is damaged. Is it possible that the ribbon cable is damaged in almost a new laptop?
