Hello people. I really need your help. I am wondering if i would be able to upgrade my HP x4600 workstation with a new gpu. I am actually building a better pc, but for now i have money just for a gpu. So i think upgrading just to enjoy some gaming while building my new pc. Details if needed for current pc.
Gpu ati x1600
Cpu Q9300
4GB ram
500gb SSD and 1TB HDD.
Some HP mobo.
475w psu.

I am concerned about my psu, because I was thinking of buying a GTX 660 or a r9 270. But I don't know if 475w, hp prebuilt psu will work. I would change psu aswell but i read that hp mobo wont support a custom psu. And if any of those cards will not work, will a 750 ti work?

Here are my psu photos, and is it a right 6 pin connector?
