Hello, I've recently got a new PC, my budget wasn't so high so I got a medium end pc for about 269£, and i've been wondering if I can play any of the newer games like Watch dogs, CoD Ghosts, etc.

Specs:

AMD Athlon II 750k x4 3.40GHZ (can be overclocked to 4.0GHZ)

8GB Ram

Amd Radeon r7 240 2gb ddr5 graphics card

1TB storage.

thanks!

The simple answer is YES.But you need to play Watch dogs and similar high end games on low settings.2gb is really good but R7 240 is a low end card..So you need to play on low resolutions....games like BF4 and CoD ghosts can be played on medium settings...That is all i can say.You should have get a R7 260x..cause R7 240 is really a low end for high end games. But you can play them on low settings...Select it as best solution if it helped you

Note: I can run games like Sniper Elite 3 on 1366x768 Ultra settings and Bioshock infinite on 1920x1080 with low-medium settings

An HD 7770, GTX 750, R7 260X, or GTX 750 TI are all good options on a budget. I listed them from weaker (left) to stronger (right), but they're all within the same general performance range. Typically they'll perform between an Xbox One and PS4.

If you have a weak power supply, be aware that the GTX 750 and GTX 750 TI will run on nearly any power supply.

My Power Supply is 500W, will that be enough?

Yes, a 500w PSU is enough to power a GTX 750 Ti. I use a 600w PSU for a GTX 770 4GB so 500w should definitely be enough any of those graphics cards.

Here's a link that shows the Wattage requirement (It's at the bottom of the page). It also shows all the specifications of the GTX 750 Ti:
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...

If you'd like to see any benchmarks for the GTX 750Ti to see how it performs with all the new gsme then I can post some links for you.

There's more to a power supply than just wattage. If it's a decent quality power supply, 500w is easily enough to power any of the graphics cards I listed. If it's poor quality, then that would be harder to tell. I've seen a few really low quality 500w power supplies that can really only output 200w at a time, for example.

Yes you can run Watch Dogs and all high end games at 1366x768 in medium settings...You can get 40+ fps in all games but in watch dogs you'll get 30+ fps...And you can also play the upcoming high expected game GTA 5 which is confirmed for XB1,PS4 and PC....So if you buy any card which is listed by Rationale are pretty good for now.I have HD 7770 1gb gddr5.I can play watch dogs on medium-high settings with 30+ fps...I ran Battlefield 4 at ultra with only 4gb ram.And my processor is i3 3220....And believe all of us and get any of those cards. You definitely can play all games at med-high settings at that resolution.Select it as best solution if it helped you
