yes you can run the toxic 280x just check that your case has more than a foot gpu clearance space because the toxic length is more 12 inches...and while choosing a gpu u have too just check 3 things
1. cpu compatibility with the gpu both should be matched so that no one gets bottlenecked
2. your psu must be sufficient for the gpu.
3. your motherboard should have a pcie slot of 3.0 16x. and also the case size according to the cards length wih i have already mentioned..
