Hi,

I currently have a PC with a Asus GTX275 video card and I am looking for an upgrade that will last for a couple of years.

Here is my current PC configuration:

PSU: Corsair HX620W
Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe V2
Processor: Intel Core i7 920@ 2,67 Ghz
Memory: 6 Gb
SSD: Crucial M4 128 Gb
HDD: 2 * 1 Tb Samsung Spinpoint F1 in Raid 1
1 * 2 Tb Samsung Spinpoint F4
Video card: Asus GTX 275

I am looking to upgrade my video card and leave the rest of the configuration as is.

After doing some research if found the following cards to be interesting:

- GTX 760
- GTX 770

Is my PSU in above setup capable of supporting one of those cards?

Didn’t look at AMD cards, any to consider as alternative for the nVidia cards?

Solution
Both would work. How long have you used that power supply? If 7 years, you may want to consider swapping a new one.
Alternatives AMD cards are R9 280X and R9 290. RIght now AMD cards in most places are cheaper for similar performance.
