So the only difference in these rpm and dba (noise level).
But my question is can i just buy the performance edition and use it at low speed ?
isn't that basically the same thing as the quiet edition then as it will be much more quieter?

More about : corsair 120 performance quiet edition

Don't bother with the quiet edition. Just get the performance, then turn it down or step it down when you don't need it blasting.

The problem with them is that corsair performance fans undervolt poorly.

I agree to an extent, but down to around 70% they're not bad at all IMO . The problem with the silents is that once you've maxed them out and are getting a slight breeze, you can't turn them up anymore.

I agree, the quiet ones move so little.

Kind of like the Noctua ULNs - it looks like a fan, it spins like a fan, but...
