Hi!
I usually defrag my hard drive every month or so. So today, I went to defragment my hard drive using the program that comes with Windows 8 when I realized that there was a complete random... thing there that's 23% fragmented. Here's a picture:

Should I be concerned? I have absolutely no clue what the hell this is xD. In case you're wondering, I'm using an Acer desktop with the HDD that came with it. It was advertised as a 1TB 7200 RPM HDD, but only has 902GB. It's about half way full (425GB left) and I'm planning to add another one in the future.

Any help is appreciated :)

Go to the control panel -> Administrative tools -> Computer Management -> Disk management and see if that volume shows up there. It will also tell you where the volume is an on what the drive along with how big it is.

EDIT: BTW don't do to much in Disk Management it is a powerful tool that can destroy lots of data if not used correctly.

Actually it could be one of the partitions shown there I notice you have 3 recovery partitions besides your root C drive which is the only mounted HDD partition. Windows might be showing the unmounted drives in their defrag software. The funny thing is though that it gave names for the other two but not that one. Wish they showed you the size of the partitions though.
