Yeah, you'd only need one. And at 720p you'll be maxing out most games with a single 270x. You could gets 280 instead as well.

Considering you have a strong enough power supply and a motherboard that supports the dual GPU, I still think it is a bad idea. It would be substantially more beneficial to yourself to purchase a single, but more powerful card. The price of two of those GPUs is nearly 400$. I would personally recommend the R9 290 if you would like to stay with an AMD GPU. The Tri-x OC (380$) version haS 4gb DDR5 Ram and will max anything you throw at it pretty much at any resolution.

Late answer/opinion I know I KNOW.. but if you have enough for both why don't you get the single card and if needed a higher res monitor?

Are you kidding me one is enough .-. Get a GTX 760 spend the rest on other things like a 1080p Monitor or a better CPU?
