Access BIOS with G3258 without BIOS update?

Hello,
I have a little question. I'm planning to do a G3258 build and I would like to save some money on the mobo. lots of people have suggested me some 8-series mobos. they're all compatible with the G3258, but after a certain BIOS version. The problem is that I don't really know if I can stick the CPU in the mobo, plug everything in and access the BIOS to perform an update. Does anyone know anything about this type of update?

Thanks in advance!

Again, it will depend on what BIOS version the new board will come with. I suspect that purchasing from a high turn over retailer like Newegg, the MB will be a late model with the latest BIOS version.
Also, (and I don't know this for a fact), but I would assume even an older BIOS would recognize the G3XXX line of processors even if the G3258 is newer, and still allow normal operation... but possibly w/o multiplier unlocking.

Maybe pick a MB and check the CPU support list for it. If they show the G3258 requiring a later BIOS to be supported, then I'd be concerned that the BIOS may not recognize the CPU. The only time I had that happen was back in the C2D days. I replaced my E6700 w/Q9550 and the screen reported that the CPU was not recognized. It wouldn't let me go any further. I had to put the C2D back in to update the BIOS.

OK, so if I bought a 8-series mobo and it lists the G3258 in its CPU support list, it still won't work without an older chip, right?
