hello there, Im upgrading from my 6300 which I have overclocked to 4.4 to an 8320 which il also oc but not sure how much by, til I see what it can do on bf4 at stock....
I have an xfx550w psu which seems low already I know but have heard can handle alot!
Other specs,
r9 280x
msi 990xa
250gb hdd, 250gb ssd
2x4gb 1600mhz xms3 ram
212 evo cooler
Cd/dvd drive

Think thats it, so psu still ok? If I dont go like over 4.4 on the oc?
Thanks in advance

That's not a worthwhile upgrade. An FX-6300 will perform about the same as an FX-8320 in most games. An overclocked FX-6300 will perform much better than a stock FX-8320, and once again, almost as well as an overclocked FX-8320.
30 Amps on the 12 Volt rail and a minimum of 550 watts is what you need for your graphics card (R9 280x) - This does not include overclocking of the CPU.

With OC and some safety margin I suggest a 650 watts or higher good quality PSU - Seasonic, XFX, Corsair HX, AX.

Hmmm ok, maybe il just stick with what I have for now then or oc alittle more, unless a stock 8320 will beat my oc 6300. not looking to fork out for a psu aswell...thanks for your reply
