Okay, to start, sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. I didn't see a spot designed for sound so I posted in Win8 cus thats what I use. Now, on to my problem.

Sometimes when I'm using my computer (I have a laptop with speakers plugged into it) I get a notification that says "You unplugged a device from the audio jack." even though I didn't do anything. And from that point on, my computer NEVER makes another sound unless I restart it. And even then, sometimes it'll do that almost immediately after restarting so I gotta restart again. It's something to do with Realtek I think. I went to my device manager and tried updating my drivers for all my sound, but it told me they were already up-to-date.

Here's my computer information:
OS: Windows 8 (Not 8.1)
RAM: 8GB (7 something usable)
Processor: Intel core i7 3.0GHz
Graphics Card: nvidia geforce GT 635M 2GB

If you need any more information about my computer, please let me know what you need and how to find it so I can provide it to you as quick as possible. This issue has been going on for a while and it's really starting to get annoying. Thanks for reading this!

This can happen because you have the Realtek application software running at the same time as windows utilizing the audio chip.

You can get a conflict with the auto jack sensing Realtek uses and windows sound.
If you have the Realtek sound app installed uninstall it.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I looked in my programs installed and I have 3 things by Realtek. Should I uninstall all of them or just certain ones?

I have:
Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver
Realtek High Definition Audio Driver
Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader

Which, if not all of these, should I uninstall?
