How do I Flash the BIOS?

I was on Reddit getting some help for building my first PC(which I have completed). At the end of the thread he tells me that I need to flash the BIOS on the board as the CPU is a Haswell refresh board and the Motherboard is normal Haswell socket. I was just wondering if someone could give me a link and tell me which version to buy.

Motherboard: Asrock h81m-hds
CPU: Intel core i3-4150

  1. Instructions for your specific MoBo are contained in the MoBo manual. best to familiarize yourself with the process as the 1st step..... these days Tech Support Hotlines have expanded their repertoire from getting you off the phone quickly going past "do you have the latest driver installed ? " to "do you have the latest BIOS installed ? " Say no and they tell you to call back when you do.
  2. Go to the Asrock website. You can get the bios upgrade and the instructions specific to your motherboard from there.

  4. It should be free no need to buy anything . always get files from the manufacturer website too .
  5. If you aren't confident in your ability to flash your BIOS, then do not buy the board. Buy one that is compatible out of the box. It's just more trouble than it's worth.
  6. Thanks a lot!!
