Almost decided on the sexy hero VII but...

Hey guys, putting together a new gaming rig, and I have to make up my mind this week on the missing parts, since my brother is currently in the US and will bring them over for me.

The CPU will be a 4790K, and trying to decide on a Z97 motherboard for it.

Almost decided on it, but one thing bothers me...

One of the attractives of the board besides the features are it's looks... However, looking around for some pictures I can see that my video card will maybe cover up part of that sexy heatsink woth the led! Specially since I have a looong card (Sapphire Tri-X 290). And what's more, some people said well, it's kinda overkill for 1080p gaming, so upping the challenge I'm considering a triple monitor setup, and wanted to get a second R290. Looking at the board, seems I will cover up more of that heatsink/led still... So what's the point???

Will I be turning this into an ugly to stare at build in the end? I even don't want a big ass cooler so I will use a Corsair H100i (replacing the stock fans of course...).

So yours with ONE card is fine right? (Seen pics I think where you don't quite reach the logo part of the heatsink). For now that's what I have (but a 290 no X), but i. The not too distant future I'd like to add another ine, which is what i need for the triple monitor setup I just got :p

Right, but what I mean is in your case for the Z97, you just have one card and you don't cover up the heassink with the logo part, right? (the part that lights up)

Thanks. IN Any case, what i forgot to mention lately is that the choice is dine anyway, as my brother bought me the VII hero on sunday :D

Only crappy thing is that the card has some yellow in it, as it's a sapphire tri-x, but:

- that will be face down anyway
- the card had good reviews for improving sound and temps, over ref
- i got it at a (I think) good price of 370...

Should be a good build.
