I built a PC recently and generally it runs fine however after start up it crashes randomly? There's no obvious cause of the crash, the screen will just freeze, Ctrl, Alt + Del doesn't work, the cursor won't move and nothing I do gets any response! After restarting it then runs fine and doesn't crash until I turn off and on again. Running games or any other intensive application has no effect.

I tried re-installing windows and that didn't work.

Wondering if its a hardware issue?

Any suggestions are welcome, please help me!

System:
Windows 8.1
AMD FX8350 CPU
GTX 650ti Boost GPU
8GB Kingston RAM
1TB Seagate SSD/HDD Hybrid
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Motherboard

Solution
If you haven't done so already, visit ASUS website and download the latest drivers for your motherboard and install them. The drivers supplied on DVD/CD with a new motherboard could be old.

In case you use the "sleep" option instead of "turn off" when you turn the PC off, try using "turn off" instead. I used to have the same problem as you when I used "sleep" instead of "turn off".
(After a while a had what counts as a disk crash on my SSD boot drive, so I replaced it with a new SSD which fixed both problems.)
