Heya!,

I want to put together 3 screens for a surround setup and while there's a lot of info to read on there are a couple things I'm not sure about.

I know a single card might not be enough to run all the latest games at that resolution on ultra and I plan to get a second one eventually but, can it still handle games like Bioshock Infinite or the like at a high enough settings?

Is it easy to switch between surround and 3 displays? Both for when the single card can't handle a specific game on the highest settings and for the times when 3 1920x1080 screens are more convenient than a single one spanning all three.

I plan to buy 3 of these monitors and was planning to connect them through 2 DVI + 1 HDMI. Would that work for surround?. http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-23EA53V-P-led-monitor

Thanks!.

I belive you need at least one monitor connected via display port.

Thanks. The need for a display port connection is one of the things I'm not sure about. All I could find in nvidia's site was that the displays should have the same resolution, refresh rate and sync but didn't find anything about any mandatory connections to use.

Display port is technically the most advanced connector out of all the stranded ones, so I highly recomend using a DP

The thing is that I'm not sure how possible it is to get a screen with DP around here (Argentina). I've been looking through retailers and computer stores and there's not a single one in stock or even advertised on the sites.

Import taxes on buying anything online from out of the country are 50% of the item's stated value + shipping (So if I order something that's US$200 + US$50 shipping I would have to pay US$125 extra before getting it) and on top of that the shipping time is at the very least around 1 or 2 months long.

Really, if I could get a better screen than that at a reasonable enough price I would be all over it.
