Last morning my computer stopped booting properly. Right now it loads up a Windows troubleshooting menu. I've exhausted all the options available there now. Is there anything else I can try before loading Windows from disc and reinstalling the OS?
I am running Windows 8.1 on a machine I built about a year ago.
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video Card
Power Supply: Rosewill Capstone 450W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
The options to refresh or reset Windows told me to insert the installation disk and then told me that it wasn't valid. And restoring the system image told me that it wasn't compatible (I made that image just after installing all the drivers). It seems that the only thing I can do is boot from the installation disk, hopefully all my files on my HDD will still be intact and I'll only have to replace whatever was on the SSD.
