Hi. I have recently bought a second hand HP LP2475W as a second monitor. I'm a photographer and I like this particular screen. Anyway, the monitor is about a year older than my original one (from 2009) and the colours at factory default are quite different. Also, it emits a hissing sound from the top right, like air escaping. The hiss gets louder when it is displaying something bright, like a full screen notepad page.

Anyone have an idea of what that could be and if it is fixable please?

Thanks.

Peter

The hissing noise is a damaged voltage regulator which might have been caused caused by failing components like a leaking capacitor. Consider having it checked out on component level by a qualified electrician.
