I recently downloaded a game called Archeage. When running the game anywhere between 1-10 mins the game causes my pc to blue screen (this doesn't happen with any of my other games i.e ESO, FFXIV, Guild Wars 2.) Sometimes I don't even get passed the game loading screen. Sometimes I get a clock interrupt error and sometimes I get no error message at all. Windows has identified these as Bccode 124 aand 101.

My GPU/CPU temps are fine GPU temp 55c and CPU 35c
My BIOS is the latest version
My drivers appear to be up to date

specs

Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 TI
AMD FX 4170 quad core black edition
Mobo GA-78LMT-S2P
8 GB RAM
Windows 7 OS x64

Link to file with crash and system info here: http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/339387-bsod-while-playing-archeage-mmorpg.html

Any help would be much appreciated.

ps I'm new to these forums.

bugcheck 101 generally indicates incorrect voltages to a CPU or incorrect clock frequency. This error is generated directly by the CPU and not a device driver.

Most often the fix is to remove overclocking, clean out the fans on the CPU if overheating.
you can also get this when you add a new graphics card and it is not getting enough power because of a underpowered power supply or your supplemental power connections fromthe power supply to the GPU are not providing power.
(or your GPU is overheating)

the second error indicates a hardware problem, most often caused by overclocking/overheating
sometimes cause by BIOS that attempts to overclock the PCI bus (update BIOS, clear to defaults, no overclocking)

make sure you are not running a device driver to overclock your graphics card.

a quick google search of "archeage bsod" shows many people with the same issue as you. turn off dx 11 or turn of anti virus has helped others. I would hope the archeage forums would give good support for this issue

My system is fine. Ran memtest and prime95 no errors nothing is overclocked my stack is cleaned every couple of weeks for dust and particles. I have a detailed file in the link if anyone wishes to look at it. Like I said ALL my games work fine Archage is the only game that ive ever had do this. You would think Trion would provide support but they haven't. Its all very frustrating.

to get your memory dump from the other site requires that I have to set up an account for that site. You should post your memory dump on a public cloud server. even after making a account I don't have rights to look at your files.
--------

post your memory .dmp file on a cloud server. I can look at it with the debugger and use the !errrec command to show why the cpu called the bugcheck.

hey there! here are my dmp files

These are my two most recent dmp files.

Best guess is still incorrect voltage/clock setting to CPU. if you have another power supply you might swap it out or check its voltage readings.

Your system was up only 10 seconds before the bugcheck
if you can get your system to boot correctly you might want to force a memory dump and produce it on a working system. I can then take a quick look to see if you have a known bad driver installed. (overclocking driver like easytune)
how to force a memory dump via keyboard:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff545499(v=vs.85).aspx

The second bugcheck was the same but the good news is the it was in a different memory bank
Error : BUSLG_GENERIC_ERR_*_TIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 0 Bank 0)
-----------
first bugcheck is called by the CPU, it generally indicates incorrect voltages and clock frequency applied to the CPU
memory controller. Most common fix would be to update BIOS or restore the BIOS to defaults, disable any overclocking in hardware and software. Confirm correct voltages applied to the CPU . If you are using a questionable power supply and a new GPU then swap out the power supply for one with more power. (some GPU can pull too much power from the motherboard and cause the voltage to the CPU to drop too low, This can cause the memory controller in the CPU to malfunction.

the error was generated on processor 1 memory bank 0 (in the cache memory in the CPU)

BugCheck 124, {0, fffffa80079788f8, 0, 0}
WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
Error : BUSLG_GENERIC_ERR_*_TIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 1 Bank 0)

These are all my most recent dmp crash files, If it is my CPU how come it only crashes with one game? when playing Archeage is the only time i get this error. Like i say i play ESO, FFXIV on max settings for hours and not one issue. is it at all possible that Archeage might just be broken? it is an Alpha build im playing. Also Archeage is 4 years old. My PSU is less than a year old 600w

my guess is you were playing a game, your machine had power issues and reset the CPU, the machine started to boot and bugchecked 9.5 seconds into the next boot. So there would be two issue: 1 why the CPU reset and maybe why you got a bugcheck on the reboot (disable fast startup ?)

The debugger indicated the bugchecks were generated only a few seconds after the system booted. Why would you think it is game related?
System Uptime: 0 days 0:00:09.874

BugCheck 124, {0, fffffa8007ac08f8, 0, 0}
Error : BUSLG_GENERIC_ERR_*_TIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 0 Bank 0)

the second one was System Uptime: 0 days 0:00:09.531

Is this information incorrect? It could be that your system drew too much power, and the mother board or the PSU changed the Power_Ok signal to the motherboard and the motherboard reset the CPU. This would cause the system to reboot when the power drain stopped. (or you could of had a thermal shutdown of the cpu ???)

As I suspected it is indeed the game that is causing many people to develop bsod errors while playing this game. Nothing to do with my system thankfully. This is a case of a broken game. TRION will need to produce a hot fix!

a game should not cause A bugcheck unless exposes a driver problem or underlying hardware issue. (in general)

I 100% agree with you onthat a game should not cause these issues. I gave up early becasue when i started searching out the game forums and a couple of other communities I saw way to many people saying they only had bsod's whhile playing his games and no other activity caused the issue. I would love to know how/why this works.

all i can think is that it somehow does like furmark does and puts way to much voltage through the system.

it is weird how games can work. no matter what game i play my CF setup of 7950's never gets hotter than 75C, unless i am playing sniper elite and then it runs at 90C. if any other game gets the gpu's up to 90C the driver crashes but not in sniper elite 3 it just keeps gaming for hours.

most likely that the Power supply design saved a few pennies and hard wired its power good signal to true.
It would explain the reset in the processor and the failure of the system to postpone its boot up attempt before the power stabilized which lead to the bugcheck 9 seconds into the boot process. (which why I suggest turning off fast boot, in order to give the system more time for the power to stabilize.

Hiya. Been playing with anything and everything to get this bug fixed.

Basically the Archeage logs traditionally show a warning mismatch in geometries for creating objects. Either they don't exist in the game package or they already exist in another location of the memory.

I've fiddled with TdrDelays and adjustment; CCC adjustments (as I have ATI.), game adjustments and pretty much every other adjustments out there to try and fix some of those problems. (from way back in the 6-8.0ish driver days.)

I'm currently still getting the atikmdag.sys "driver failed to recover" as the main culprit for actual BSOD. Black screens seem to be a failed initialization of the driver. (and /reloadui doesn't seem to work.)

My next two steps is to run lower and lower quality settings. This is in part because other people are getting the memory problem but without BSOD's. Just eventual crashing. Essentially a memory leak. After that, I'll start creating other characters of different races so that hopefully the game will go fetch those missing files properly.

I'm also disabling multi-threading at the moment to see if there is a change when the "normal" cycle error happens.

There is also a network delay error that can show up in your archeage logs. I haven't been able to test fiddle with that one yet.
