No, a cpu cooler isn't necessary , stick with the stock one as it's desgined to keep the cpu cool when it's not overclcoked and if the cpu gets too hot, just get a evo 212

I have about 6 LED fans on my rig the noise won't concern me 
Then a aftermarket cpu cooler is not needed

i ran with the stock cooler on my 8320 at 4.2 for two months while i saved money for my waterloop, its fine if you have a good case to quiet the noise down, plus most gamers wear headsets while they play anyways

for me i dont really care about noise as long its not a jet fighter next me, most the time im wearing a hetset anyways if im my computer
