Hey everyone, I am upgrading everything. Bit by bit. I was planning on getting the gtx 780ti, but now not sure if it would be a waste. I only plane on using one monitor, ASUS VG248QE. Some say it's a waste to the 780ti unless I will be using multiple monitors or playings game at 1440p. I am only planning on one monitor and it's max res. is 1080p. So is it worth getting the 780ti or something else like?..

If you will be doing graphics design, then go for it. if you only game, I'd suggest the R9 290x/290/280x/280, some of them perform better or just the same at a much lower price.

Well, I'm using GTX 780 on 1080 monitor and I am happy with it! I would recommend you to save that money and buy EVGA GTX 780 for example....

Hi thanks, I will be getting a nvida card, mainly because of the G-sync and my asus monitor. Will there be much of difference between the 780 and 780ti in regards to fps?

Your moniter has to support G-SYNC, no point in getting nVidia if it doesnt.

It will be, nvidia sells a DIY kit for it, with instructional videos. There are modded asus VG248QE monitors for sale as well, FYI. Plus it also has the NVIDIA 3D Vision, which I hear is pretty cool.

You won't notice the difference on a 1080p monitor, because both the 780 and 780 Ti can easily hit above 60FPS, and after that, you won't notice the difference between 90fps(something the 780 ti can achieve) and 80fps ( something the 780 can hit) , if you pl;an on gaming on one monitor at 1080p for the next 3-4 years, a 780 will do you fine :)
