Why are my PC components underpowered?

Hi so I am new here, anyway, I built my own pc with these parts:

    MSI MicroATX fm2 socket MOBO
    Athlon x4 750k quad-core cpu
    GTX 650TI BOOST GPU
    8GB 1333 ram (1xstick)
    Thermaltake 430w PSU

I have installed windows 8.1 Pro on my machine and mostly game and edit videos. It runs perfectly and smoothly except when in-game. I feel like I should get higher FPS in games like Minecraft for one. I get like 60-100 fps in-game on the fast settings. Also I can only run BF4 on Medium settings with 50-60 fps. But even if it says I have 60 fps I still get a stutter in a whole bunch of games. So basically no matter the fps, there is a stutter or lag in-game. Can anyone help, should I upgrade a component? Is there a bottleneck? Please help me out.

well those parts dont use a lot of voltages but that psu is not a great one and may not be providing necessary watts/amps. Also the 650ti is old and will not max out that many games so your fps and settings look normal. That cpu to is not the strongest but is probably not bottlenecking.

I'm not familiar with that chipset but are you getting the benefit of dual channel memory operation with only 1 dimm?

you need two ram sticks for dual channel. and the chipset is fm2 socket for amd apu's

add an extra dimm of ram for dual channel which should give you a nice performance boost.

Medium/low end CPU & GPU operating with single channel ram.
What resolution are you trying to game at?
Do you have an aftermarket cooler on the cpu and overclocked it?

actually some games dont benift from dual channel. But still dual channel is recommended for gaming and everyday work. Secondly buy a whole new set dont buy seperate 1x8gb because they will act up and DECREASE performance.

I have the cpu and gpu overclocked a little. My cpu can overclock to 4ghz via bios, but acts up and freezes during operation, so i have it at 3.8ghz which runs great. And no i do not have an aftermarket cooler on the cpu just the stock one, but i have increased the fan speed so it stays relatively cool. Also I play at 1080p resolution.

yeah overclocking on stock cooling is never good and wont get you far at all.

What might help run my cpu at 4ghz without crashing, is it the cooler? I can boot into windows but games freeze the computer. I previously had a past cpu overclock to the same frequency so i know it can handle it.

well first after you overclock you have to stress test it(prime 95,etc) to see if the overclock is stable. then a cheap cooler like the hyper evo 212 could get you to 4.4-4.5ghz.

So basically more ram and an aftermarket cooler

yeah basically the after market cooler would give it a nice performance boost and the ram would help keep things running smooth. select best answer when your done
