Hello, I was wondering the if the G3258 would be okay for rendering videos on Adobe Premier? Since its only dual core I am slightly worried as I make occasional youtube gameplay videos. Thanks!
If your budget could allow for a cpu with more cores, it'd do better for sure.
As for the usage wise, overclocking it will help it quite a bit, but it's still not ideal for video editing. It'll most likely be a bit more time consuming than something with more cores.
An i3 can be found for not much more, especially looking on eBay, you can find them under $100 and that would be a better option, unless you are overclocking the G3258 far.
Under $100, your best option is an Athlon X4 760K, by far.
Very Cheap. And you can add a CPU cooler and overclock, and start to approach the single-thread performance of Sandy Bridge or something.
Just be wary, the A55 chipset doesn't do SSDs well.
An FX-6300 is also a good option, but motherboards tend to cost more and upgradeability is even more limited than the FM2+ socket.
8320/8350 are much better than a a10 7850k for this guys needs, nor does he need the intergrated gpu, buy a cheap dedicated and it will always be faster.

Looking at the 6300 right now. Any decent mobo for it around 50-60 bucks? Already have an Asus 760 so no need a for integrated GPU

Never said anything about APUs. Agreed, he doesn't need that crap.
If he is looking at the budget of the G3258, the combination I recommended above is a much more economical choice, that has a lot more potential upgradeability (Carrizo Athlons?) and will perform more than well enough.
Sure the FX-6300 or 8320 would perform better for those 30 minutes or whatever of rendering, but for the lower price and advantages of the FM2+ platform, it is well worth a look.
