I'm looking to pick up a Geforce GTX 650 1GB to go along with my intel celeron g1620

I was wondering if that GPU would be bottlenecked by the CPU

Solution
Yes, the GPU would be bottlenecked by the CPU. But yours graphic card not bad. But there will be low frame rates or shuttering on playing games like BF4, COD Ghosts, Watch Dogs etc. etc.. So better play these games no medium or low settings. If u can buy Pentium G or i3 processor then take it. Games will run much better.

He's wanting to get new GPU, not CPU, so the CPU replacement or issue isn't what is asked.

I understand that. I was just pointing out that if he indeed did encounter fps problems after going with the GTX 650 install, that he could upgrade to a faster CPU in the future, such as the i3 3240, if he (or she) were getting bottlenecked by the Celeron.... : )
