Just had a computer crash on a dual drive (SSD/HDD) system. Can the information on the HDD be easily reintegrated?

My computer crashed yesterday and I just got through reinstalling Windows 8 today. Are there any pain free ways to get the new install of Windows to recognize the already installed programs on the old HDD? I've already reassigned the libraries to the proper folders on the HDD.

Solution
Any time you reinstall Windows, any programs that were previously installed will need to be reinstalled. Certain information is written into the Windows Registry, and reinstalling Windows recreates the Registry.
